Which is healthier pumpkin or sweet potato?

Neither are necessary in your dog's diet. But I'd avoid pumpkin unless your dog is having toilet problems.

A small amount will firm up loose stools but a generous amount will ease constipation. So if your dog is passing healthy stools, you probably don't want to mess with the balance.

Mine have roasted butternut squash in with their raw food twice weekly along carrots and broccoli ;):)

We used pumpkin when Jimmy had looser poos. Didn't really work though. We bought the tinned stuff from a supermarket (maybe that was the reason).
