Expectant Whippet

I'm no good at guessing correctly :b so i will say 7, 4 boys and 3 girls.

Back to the original question as I don't think you got any replies.

It is not unusual for a bitch to regurgitate food,

post birth this will be for the pups to eat when they are weaning.

You may find the pups lick the Dams face to encourage her to part with food.

At this stage it is possible that she is just feel uncomfortable as whippets normally carry the pups high in the abdomen which in turn will pushing against the stomach.

As the whelps get bigger they will drop causing less presure on her stomach.

When she gets to her due date this could also be one of the signs that she is about to start to whelp.

thanks , i knew she was ok in herself etc just wonderd why they did it .

i knew they did it when the pups lick there faces and morning sickness but not why she was doing it at this stage :thumbsup:

its logical when you come to think of it i guess , thanks for that.

also she hasnt done it the last 3/4 days so babies must be dropping down now :wub:
